There is no question that PSG is loaded for the 2017-2018 season. They had the best team in the league before the additions of Neymar and Mbappe.
PSG has a solid goalkeeper in Kevin Trapp and a good backup in Alphonse Areola. The defense for PSG is excellent, especially with the addition of right-back Dani Alves. They already had Thomas Meunier and Serge Aurier. The middle is loaded with talent led by Thiago Silva and Marquinhos and the left is solid with Layvin Kurzawa. The midfield has Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot along with Angel Di Maria and Thiago Motta. PSG is loaded with talented scorers led by Neymar and Julian Draxler on the wings and support from Edinson Cavani, Draxler and Mbappe.
PSG was a very good team a year ago but Monaco had a great season and beat them for the title. PGS was unbeaten at home a year ago, as they went 13-0 with 6 draws. They outscored opponents at home by a ridiculous 42-7 margin. They were 14-5 on the road, outscoring opponents by a combined 41-20.
PSG is almost assuredly going to win Ligue 1 in 2017-2018. They are far and away the best team in the league with the additions of Neymar and Mbappe. It also helps PSG’s cause that their main challengers are weaker. Monaco lost too much in the off-season to challenge for the top spot and Nice may do well just to finish in the Top 7.
PSG has very few weaknesses, and unless they suffer a major injury, they should roll to the Ligue 1 title this season. The team also has enough talent to win a number of trophies this season and they could be a serious contender to win the Champions League.
