Inter Milan is coming off a disappointing season a year ago, as they finished in seventh place in Serie A. Missing out on European football doesn’t go over well in Milan and changes have been made. The team has a new manager for 2017-2018 in Luciano Spalletti and the team made a number of off-season additions. Inter Milan is led by one of the top forwards in the league in Mauro Icardi who had 26 goals last season. Inter Milan should definitely be better than they were a year ago and anything less than a top 3 finish will be considered a disappointment.

Odds To Win Serie A: +1200
Inter Milan is considered a darkhorse team to win Serie A in 2017-2018 at odds of +1200. The team is probably still not at the level of Juventus but they do have enough talent to finish in second place this season and come away with a Champions League spot, and if everything goes right they might just be able to challenge for first place.

Inter Milan 2017-18 Predictions
There is little doubt that Inter Milan is going to be better than they were a year ago. Finishing in 7th place is simply not good enough for this club. They made some good signings in the off-season bringing in Valero, Skriniar, & Dalbert. The team has a solid goalkeeper in Handanovic and Icardi is a big time scorer. The starting lineup for the club this season should be Handanovic, D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Dalbert, J. Mario, Gagliardini, B. Valero; Candreva, Icardi and Perisic.
The man in charge of getting the most out of this talented squad is Spalletti who was with Roma. He did excellent work in the preseason and has his team ready for a big year. Spalletti is expected to play a 4-2-3-1 system that should have everyone playing at a higher pace. Spalletti should be able to get more out of players like Barbosa and Jovetic who were disappointing a year ago. The additions of Valero and Dalbert should really help Inter Milan this season and Spalletti will get the most out of both players.
The Nerazzurri went 11-5 at home last season with three draws, outscoring opponents by a combined 44-22 but that record was disappointing, considering their goal differential. They were 8-9 on the road, with two draws, outscoring opponents by a combined 28-27.
Inter Milan is going to be vastly improved this season, as they already had a talented squad before the additions of Valero and Dalbert. Spalletti is a good manager and he will have his system in place before the season starts with everyone on the same page.
Inter Milan may not be getting enough respect in terms of the future odds, as they are listed at +1200. You almost have to throw out what the Nerazzurri did last season, as they just seemed to be disjointed all year. That will not be the case this season, as Spalletti is raring to go. Inter Milan may not be able to get past Juventus for the league title in 2017-2018 but they should definitely challenge for a top 3 position and a Champions League spot and if everything goes right they might just shock everyone and win the Serie A title.
