Hertha Berlin is coming off a successful season a year ago, as they finished in sixth place to clinch a spot in the Europa League. Hertha Berlin is led by Vedad Ibisevic, as he scored 12 goals for the club last season. Berlin will miss John Brooks who was one of their top defenders, so repeating a top six finish might be difficult in 2017-2018. Hertha Berlin did add Davie Selke from RB Leipzig but whether they did enough in the off-season is the question.
Hertha Berlin Bundesliga Futures Odds
Odds To Win Bundesliga: +2500 (Field)
Hertha Berlin is not a threat to win the Bundesliga, as they are listed as part of the field at odds of +2500. They do have a good manager in Pal Dardai who has led the team to two straight top-seven finishes. Finishing in the upper half of the table is realistic for this team in 2017-2018 and another sixth place finish is definitely possible.

Hertha Berlin 2017-18 Predictions
Hertha Berlin has a solid goal scorer in Ibisevic who scored his 100th Bundesliga goal in November of 2016. He needs some help this season from players like Jordan Torunarigha and Mathew Leckie.
A year ago, Hertha Berlin started really well and they were in third place heading into the holiday break. The second half was not nearly as good, as Ibisevic slumped and the team struggled to score. He had only four goals in the last 18 matches. The team lost eight of their last 12 matches.
The loss of Brooks definitely hurts but the team did add Karim Rekik and he should help. Goalkeeper Rune Jarstein is back after making over 100 saves last season. He kept 11 clean sheets a year ago. The midfield looks strong led by Per Skjelbred and Vladimir Darida. Hertha Berlin has plenty of scoring options led by Ibisevic and Selke.
Hertha Berlin is going to be in a fight to match their sixth place finish from last season. What hurts them is their schedule, as they will be playing European football this season. That is great news for the club overall and for the fans, but the players will be weary.
What helps Hertha Berlin is the overall weakness of the Bundesliga. There are three clear tiers with Bayern Munich in their own world and then Dortmund and Leipzig a notch below. After the top three there is no a whole lot of difference between the fourth place team and the 18th place team.
Hertha Berlin doesn’t have enough to challenge Bayern for the top spot and they probably don’t have enough to get a top 4 position but the team can definitely contend for 5th or 6th place. If everything would fall into place they might be able to make a run at 4th place and a Champions League spot but the more likely scenario has them in a fight for one of the Europa League spots in 2017-2018.
