Bayern Munich begins the 2017-2018 season as a big favorite to win the Bundesliga title for the sixth straight season. It is getting to the point in the Bundesliga where it is Bayern and then everyone else. The team finished 15 points clear of RB Leipzig a year ago and there is no reason to think anything will be different this season. Bayern was the only team to score more than 72 goals last season, as they had 89 and they allowed a league low 22 goals. Anything less than another Bundesliga title would be a huge surprise.

Ancelotti said that a number of the young players could see action. “There are a few players that could have a future here. Christian Fruchtl, Marco Friedl, Felix Gotze, Lukas Mai and Timothy Tillman all took part in the Audi Cup. There's also some very good players in the under-19s at the moment like Franck Evina, [Lars Lukas] Mai and Marcel Zylla."

Bayern Munich 2017-18 Predictions
Bayern should run away with the Bundesliga again this season. Bayern brought in a number of high profile players including Rodriguez who they got from Real Madrid. Manager Carlo Ancelotti did a nice job a year ago, but more is expected this season, as Bayern didn’t win the Champions League last year and they didn’t win the DFB-Pokal.
Bayern has a ton of talent, led by Lewandowski who has 77 goals in 96 Bundesliga matches. The team also has Manuel Neuer and Jerome Boateng, and don’t forget about Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. The only question could be how much Thomas Muller has left after scoring just five times in the league last year.
Bayern has a new captain this year in Manuel Neuer and he is coming back from injury, as he broke his metatarsal in the Champions League last year. He is expected to be ready for the second game of the season for Bayern. Neuer is considered one of the top goal keepers in the world and he provides Bayern with a major edge in net.
Bayern will have some injury issues to deal with to begin the season but within a few weeks they should have everyone back and healthy and the early season schedule is not difficult. The Bundesliga as a whole is weaker and Bayern has been able to take advantage in recent seasons. It shouldn’t be any different in 2017-2018, as Bayern is clearly the class of the league. They may not be 15 points clear of the second place team, as they were a year ago, but Bayern should still be the champions of the Bundesliga in 2017-2018.
