Harry Maguire comes over from Hull City, Vicente Iborra from Sevilla, and Eldin Jakupovic from Hull City. Leicester also got Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City. The addition of Iheanacho is a big one, and Shakespeare believes he can team well with Vardy. “They can play together, most definitely.” Shakespeare said to The Sun, “You’ve seen how they linked up – good players can.”
Leicester badly needs the scoring of Iheanacho, as their only reliable scoring option other than Vardy has been Riyad Mahrez and he may leave. “His goal scoring record is excellent.” Shakespeare said about Iheanacho, “He gives us another dimension.”

Ron-Robert Zieler left for Stuttgart while Leicester loaned out Bartosz Kapustka to Freiburg. The team is almost assuredly going to lose Riyad Mahrez at some point either before, or during the season.
Shakespeare said that he is not worried about Mahrez losing focus because of his status. "I have to say he's been very focused, when I say driven - he hasn't given me one problem of pulling him to the side and saying, 'oi, pull your finger out'," Shakespeare said to The Sun. "We know he's come out and said that he wants to leave. Until we get a bid that is accepted that is reasonable for Leicester then he stays.”
Leicester City 2017-18 Predictions
Leicester is probably going to struggle to score goals. They have a star in Vardy but they are going to have to find someone to replace Mahrez. Demarai Gray has looked good at times and Leicester needs him to take a big step up. Iheanacho has made a good first impression, so perhaps he can be the answer.
Leicester was almost a guarantee to fall last season simply because they came too far, too fast. It also didn’t help their cause that they had to deal with games in the Champions League. No team is going to ever say they don’t want to be in the Champions League, but the wear and tear on a team like Leicester can’t be overstated. That will not be an issue this season.
Leicester finished just two points out of 8th place last season and they played much better after Ranieri was let go. The problem for Leicester is goal scoring, as they scored just 48 in the league. They may not have solved the problem in the off-season and their pre-season results showed just how much they are going to continue to struggle to score goals, as they scored just one against West Brom, Liverpool, Luton Town and none against MK Dons or Wolves.
Leicester could be a good team to take over their point total this season, as they have a good system in place, a star in Vardy and lower expectations than last year.
