The ultimate crapshoot on an annual basis comes in college basketball. The best teams in the country are ones who often just bombard their rosters with a ton of kids fresh out of high school who have never seen any of the biggest gyms in the country before. Plus, in the end, after playing through 35 or so grueling games all over the country, what's left is a 68-team one-and-done NCAA Tournament where anything can happen.

Fortunately, there's a lot more than just the NCAA Tournament that college basketball fans can wager on at JustBet. There are several events over the course of the college hoops postseason that always end up being desirable betting markets.

NCAA Tournament

The cream of the crop ends up in the NCAA Tournament. Winners of all of the conference tournaments across the country get automatic invitations to March Madness, and that's where they're going to get the chance to play against some of the big boys who are given at-large bids.

When it's all said and done with, there are probably only 20 or so teams that enter the NCAA Tournament who can actually win it all, but all 68 teams could be in and out of this field in any 40-minute stretch.

NIT

College basketball's secondary tournament is always intriguing from the standpoint that there are teams who just miss out on the NCAA Tournament who feel like they have something to prove. Some sulk along having missed the NCAAs and ultimately don't care much about playing in the NIT. However, the prize at the end is a nice one for all of the teams who play through this 32-team tournament, a trip to Madison Square Garden for the NIT Final Four.

Not only do some of the teams who had their bubbles busted play in the NIT, but so, too, do all of the regular season conference winners from these smaller conferences. It at least provides the secondary reward of getting a chance to play on national television one or two more times before the season comes to a close, and oftentimes, it allows those smaller teams to build for the future when they have a lot of returning players.

CBI

Beyond the NIT comes all of the pay-for-play postseason tournaments. In order to play in the College Basketball Invitational, you have to be from a bona fide mid-major conference, and you have to fork up some funds just to get the right to continue your season. Teams from all across the country come together for this generally regional 16-team tournament with games played at home sites.

The truly interesting quirk of the CBI that has been met with rave reviews is the ideal of the championship series instead of just a one-and-done championship game. The lower-seeded team hosts Game 1 of the best-of-three while Games 2 and 3 are on the court of the higher-seeded team.

CIT

The CIT is another pay-for-play tournament, one that is often entered by veteran teams who want one last shot to play against some fellow mid-majors. The field has often expanded and contracted in the CIT, but the 2017 edition of the tournament had 26 teams. There was no set tournament bracket, and all of the draws were done regionally based off of travel to try to keep expenses as low as possible.
